TAMPA, Jan. 28, 2019USF men's soccer head coach Bob Butehorn announced the four-game spring 2019 schedule, including four games against Division I, USL and MLS teams beginning Saturday Feb. 2.

"We're very fortunate to have these type of playing opportunities in the spring," head coach Bob Butehorn said. "These games provide our players with a clear picture of what it takes to compete at the next levels. This type of competition offers each player the rare opportunity to see how he stacks up against a professional."

USF, who ended with 2018 with a 7-8-2 regular season record, will open up their spring slate with a matchup against Major League Soccer's Philadelphia Union. The match is slated for Feb. 2 at 7 p.m. at the Joe DiMaggio Sports Complex. USF and the Union enjoy connections as former Bull Marcus Epps played with the Union last season, and current Bulls sophomores Josue Monge and Freddy Gil are Philadelphia Union Academy products.

Two weeks later, USL's Louisville City will travel down to Florida and play against the Bulls on Feb. 16 at IMG Academy in Bradenton. The match will be held at 10 a.m.

On Mar. 2, the Bulls will host the USL's Tampa Bay Rowdies at home in Corbett Stadium. The game is scheduled to take place at 7 p.m.

The final game of the spring schedule takes place on Mar. 23 against their crosstown rival, the University of Tampa Spartans. The game will take place at Pepin Stadium on Tampa's campus. The game is slated to take place at 7:30 p.m.
