Bell Named AAC Field Athlete of the Week
PROVIDENCE, R.I. JAN. 29, 2019 – USF senior pole vaulter
David Bell was selected as the American Athletic Conference Male Field Athlete of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.
A senior from Jacksonville, Bell captured the individual title in the pole vault Saturday at the Hawkeye Invitational with a height of 17-04.50 to mark the second straight meet he has won the event. Bell is currently tied for 22nd in the NCAA in the pole vault.
Bell aims to make it three straight individual victories this weekend when the Bulls return to action Saturday at the Villanova Invitational.
