October 10, 2019 | Men's Tennis
USF makes a trip to Tallahassee to compete in the Bedford Cup hosted by Florida State University.
TAMPA, OCT. 10, 2019 – The Bulls will play in the state capital this weekend while competing in the annual Bedford Cup hosted by FSU. Â
Â
The tournament begins Friday and features student-athletes from nine Florida universities, including No. 34 South Florida. Three of the remaining eight teams join USF in ITA's top 50 based on spring 2019 rankings: Florida (4), Florida State (26), and UCF (31).
As Chase Ferguson (Melbourne, Australia) and Pierre Luquet (Draguignan, France) return to action after a doubles title win, head coach Ashley Fisher looks forward to having more Bulls on the court.
Â
"We are excited to get on the road, as an entire team and coaching staff put it on the line for the weekend," Fisher said. "These trips are a great opportunity for us to grow closer and to test ourselves. The boys have worked hard this semester on and off the court, and are looking forward to competing."
