USF Women's Hoops Heads to Philly for AAC Media Day

PHILADELPHIA (NOV. 13, 2019) – University of South Florida women's basketball head coach Jose Fernandez, along with three women's basketball student-athletes, will be in Philadelphia for the annual American Athletic Conference Basketball Media Day on Oct. 13-14.
 
Fernandez, along with redshirt junior wing Enna Pehadzic (Horsens, Denmark), junior center Shae Leverett (Rincon, Ga.) and senior post player Tamara Henshaw, will begin the two-day event on Sunday with a photo shoot, followed by a full schedule on Monday that includes interviews with the American Digital Network, ESPN and CBS Sports Network, along with additional conference media. The American will also announce the Preseason Coaches Poll and Preseason All-Conference Team

USF has made 15 postseason tournament appearances and had six NCAA Tournament berths in head coach Jose Fernandez's 19 seasons. The all-time winningest coach in program history, Fernandez has guided USF to nine 20-win seasons, two WNIT final four appearances, the 2009 WNIT championship and won more than 350 games.
