Bulls in the NFL: Week 8

TAMPA, OCT. 28, 2019 – One former USF standout made a memorable return to the field while another continued to make things happen in Week 8 of the NFL season.

The start to Jason Pierre-Paul's long-awaited season debut was like something out of a movie script.

More than five months after suffering a neck fracture that landed him on Tampa Bay's reserve/non-football injury list, JPP recorded a sack on his very first snap of the game. The 10th-year pro finished with three tackles for loss and played 43 snaps in the Buccaneers' 27-23 loss at Tennessee.  Pierre-Paul participated in his first full-squad practice of the season last Tuesday and showed no signs of rust while recording his 72nd career sack on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Marlon Mack looked smooth scoring Indianapolis' lone touchdown in a 15-13 victory over Denver that kept the Colts atop the AFC South standings. Mack helped spark the thrilling comeback with 10-yard touchdown run in the third quarter and finished with a game-high 76 rushing yards.

In the midst of his third NFL season, Mack ranks eighth in the NFL with 590 rushing yards (4.3 ypc) and has totaled three scores on the ground to give him 15 rushing touchdowns for his career.
