TAMPA, Oct. 30, 2019 – The No. 19/24 University of South Florida women's soccer program wraps up its regular season with the annual War on I-4 on Thursday in Orlando. USF (12-3; 7-1 The American) carries a six-game win streak into the finale.

The Bulls clinched a first-round bye in the American Athletic Conference Tournament, which starts on Sunday. USF will play on Thursday, Nov. 7 as either the first or second seed in the tournament.

Hosting duties for the semifinals and finals are still up for grabs as the season enters its final game. Memphis clinches the one-seed with a win, but the Bulls have a chance to host if Memphis has a non-win result of its match against Tulsa. If Memphis ties or loses, the Bulls need to win in order to earn the one-seed. Memphis holds the tiebreaker advantage if the two teams end with the same point totals.

The Bulls are coming off a strong road trip last week. The Bulls used a goal from Evelyne Viens (L'Ancienne-Lorette, Quebec, Canada) in the third minute of the match to post a 1-0 victory at Cincinnati on Oct. 24.

Three days later, South Florida's offense surged against ECU in a 3-1 win. Viens, Andrea Hauksdottir (Kopavogur, Iceland) and Fanny Pelletier-Laroche (Montreal, Quebec, Canada) scored for the Bulls in the win.

Viens earned her fifth AAC Offensive Player of the Week award for her efforts, while Sydney Martinez (Rincon, Ga.) was named AAC Goalkeeper of the Week. Pelletier-Laroche was named to the AAC weekly honor roll as well.

UCF (9-3-4, 4-2-2)
The UCF Knights lost their last match, dropping a 1-0 decision in Cincinnati on Oct. 27. Overall, the Knights have a record of 9-3-4 and a 4-2-2 record in conference play.

UCF is led on offense by sophomore forward Kristen Scott, whose eight goals and 16 points lead the team. Just behind Scott is senior midfielder Zandy Soree with seven goals and one assist for 15 points. In goal, redshirt freshman Carolina DeLisle has started all 16 matches for the Knights. She has posted a 0.53 GAA and a 0.824 save percentage so far.

NOTABLES
  • Evelyne Viens (L'Ancienne-Lorette, Canada) was named a finalist for the Senior CLASS Award. Voting is open until Nov. 18 and the winner will be announced during the College Cup in December.
