Klaric Named The American Player of the Week

Vanja Klaric of the USF women's tennis team was named The American Player of the Week for a 2-0 week at the No. 2 singles spot.

Klaric (Gaborone, Botswana), is 8-4 this season, and currently rides a three-game winning streak, with two of her last three wins coming from straight-set victories.

Klaric went 2-0 at the No. 2 singles position, winning both matches in straight sets, to lead USF to dual match wins against No. 46 SMU and Wichita State. She scored a 6-0, 7-6 (4) victory in the 4-1 win against the Mustangs and added a 6-2, 6-1 win against the Shockers, who had been No. 40 in the Oracle/ITA rankings through March 5. Klaric also scored a doubles victory with partner
Nicole Dzenga as the tandem took a 7-5 decision at No. 1 against Wichita State's duo, which is ranked No. 46.
