USF Women’s Soccer Announces Spring Schedule
TAMPA (March 22, 2019) – USF women's soccer will take on three NCAA teams as well as NWSL team Orlando Pride in its remaining spring exhibition matches.
USF finished another historic season in 2018 as the American Athletic Conference regular season champions. The Bulls advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament after their highest-score NCAA game in program history, a 5-1 defeat of UAlbany.
Spring tests for USF include Florida, who went 7-10-4 last season, but missed the NCAA tournament for the first time in 15 seasons. The teams will face off in a closed scrimmage on Friday, March 22, at Corbett Stadium.
USF will travel to Orlando to face the Orlando Pride for the third straight spring season in a closed Scrimmage that will take place on March 30.
The Bulls will welcome Rollins College and FGCU in April. USF will take on Rollins College at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 6 at Corbett Stadium, and FGCU at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, at the USF Soccer Training Fields.
Rollins College competes in NCAA DII and went 9-4-5 last season. The Tars made it to the SSC Quarterfinals and the NCAA South Region Tournament in postseason.
FGCU is a common foe for the Bulls, and the teams have met in postseason in two of their last three NCAA tournament appearances, each coming away with a win. USF most recently defeated FGCU in the opening round of the tournament in 2017. USF claimed a 3-0 win in that meeting.
