No. 19 Barroso-Campos Named The American Player of the Week
TAMPA, March 26, 2019 – USF men's tennis' No. 19
Alberto Barroso-Campos was named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week after improving his singles record to 16-2 last week.

Barroso-Campos (Montijo, Spain) went 2-1 at No. 1 singles against three nationally ranked players and was 2-0 at No. 1 doubles, including a win against a ranked tandem, to lead USF to a 2-1 week. Barroso-Campos was a three-set winner in the Bulls' 5-2 victory against No. 37 Tulsa and went three sets to lead a 5-2 victory against SMU as he defeated the No. 73 and 74-ranked players nationally.

He paired with
Pierre Luquet for two doubles wins, including a victory against Tulsa's No. 55-ranked tandem. Barroso-Campos' only setback during the week was a three-set decision at No. 1 to Oklahoma's top player, who is ranked No. 54.
