Pehadzic, Harvey Earn All-Conference Honors

UNCASVILLE, CONN., March 8, 2019 –Sophomore Enna Pehadzic (Horsens, Denmark) and freshman Sydni Harvey (Nashville, Tenn.) earned All-Conference honors, announced by The American Athletic Conference Friday morning.

Pehadzic, who rose to fill the gaps left by injured Bulls, was named second team all-conference by the AAC coaches, while Harvey, a consistent and competitive component of the Bulls' depleted roster was a unanimous selection to the All-Freshman team.

Among active players, Pehadzic leads USF in scoring with 11.8 points per game and in conference play with 15.4 points per game. On Feb. 20, Pehadzic exploded with a career-high 35 points, the highest point total by any AAC player this season. Pehadzic was named to the NCAA Starting Five and the AAC Honor Roll for the fourth time this season for her efforts. In 2017-18, Pehadzic had never scored in double figures, but with the chance of a lifetime at her fingertips, she had 19 double-digit outings including six 20+ point outings. She set career highs in every single category since the beginning of the year.

Harvey made an immediate impact from her first day on campus, and started 24 straight games for the Bulls before being sidelined with a concussion. She earned a career high of 25 points against Tulane earlier this season, and was twice named the Freshman of the Week. She also owns two AAC Honor Roll awards and was named to the Paradise Jam Tournament All-Star Team after her 52-point burst in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Harvey led the Bulls in scoring six times and had 14 double-digit outings.

Harvey is the first freshman named to the all-freshman team since Tamara Henshaw headlined the honor when she earned Freshman of the Year in 2016. USF has enjoyed a player on the all-conference roster each year since the inception of the conference.
