Bulls Finish Tied for Ninth at Dellenbaugh Women’s Regatta

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., April 1, 2019 – The USF women's sailing team finished ninth at the Dellenbaugh Women's Regatta hosted by Brown Saturday and Sunday Providence, R.I.
The Bulls now have three top-five finishes and five top-10 placements to start the spring slate. Eight of the top-10 ranked teams in the country were competing over the weekend. It also served as the venue for the Women's Team Race Nationals Invitational April 13-14.
Nota-Bulls
The Bulls have an off weekend before returning to Providence for the Women's Team Race National Invite in two weeks.
About USF Sailing
The USF sailing program has reached the national finals in six of the last seven years. The Bulls finished in the top 10 during the 2012 and 2013 seasons. The sailing team is based out of St. Petersburg and led by head coach Allison Jolly, a former USA Olympian and 2016 Florida Sports Hall of Fame inductee.

- Sophomore Marina Barzaghi (Saunderstown, R.I.) and senior Darby Capellin (Bradenton, Fla.) finished sixth in the A division, just four points back of fifth place and 13 back of fourth.
- Sophomore Katie Bornarth (Jensen Beach, Fla.), senior Rachel Yannelli (Woodcliff Lake, N.J.) and freshman crew Chloe Sweeting (Hope Town, Marsh Harbour, Bahamas) finished 12th in the B division.
