Fisher Signs Antonio Muniz-Hidalgo for Fall 2019
TAMPA, May 1, 2019 – USF men's tennis signed Antonio Muniz-Hidalgo to the 2019-2020 roster on Tuesday.
Muniz-Hidalgo is a transfer from Georgia Southern with a career-high ATP ranking of 1754. As an Eagle, he played on the top two singles courts and led the team with a 15-7 singles record. The Barcelona native was 12-11 in doubles with three different partners in his debut season.
"Antonio embodies a lot of qualities that are already consistent with the values of our program," said head coach,
Ashley Fisher. "He is an extremely hard worker in everything he does and is an outstanding competitor. Antonio's own growth trajectory has been very impressive in the last couple of years so he will fit in well here with our vision. We couldn't be more excited to welcome him to the Bulls family and are looking forward to getting the partnership started in August."
