Bulls Welcome Transfer Rithvik Bollipalli for Fall 2019

TAMPA, June 12, 2019 – Head coach Ashley Fisher is bringing on sophomore transfer Rithvik Bollipalli who recently finished up his freshman season at Utah State.

"We are excited to have Rithvik join the family this fall," said head coach Ashley Fisher. "The guys did an outstanding job last year of creating a very professional competitive environment that we know Rithvik will be suited to. He is a high character guy who, similar to USF tennis, is searching for every edge possible via hard work and mental toughness. The 2020 spring season is going to be a big year as we continue to grow our culture and Rithvik is the right person to help us with that challenge."

Bollipalli joins the Bulls after going 21-16 in singles in 2019 playing at the four, five and six spots. He earned all-Mountain West doubles honors with his partner after a 4-2 mark at the top spot including 3-2 in conference play.

In high school, Bollipalli was ranked the No. 1 junior in all of India during U12, U14 and U16s and had an ITF ranking of 238 and a Universal Tennis ranking of 12.72. He captured tournament titles in 2018 for both singles and doubles in the ITF Seventh Nairobi International Junior Championships in January, and went on to win doubles and singles titles again at the ITF East African U18 Junior Circuit just a month later.
