Listen to Bulls Beat
Bulls fans can get their USF news every Monday, Wednesday and Friday during the summer on Bulls Beat. Darek Sharp hosts a half-hour show filled with exclusive interviews, highlights, full recaps and game previews on all USF sports teams. Bulls Beat can be heard on Bulls Unlimited, a channel devoted to USF sports 24/7. Search USF on the IHeart Radio app to download the channel. The show repeats each half hour from 7-9 every morning, with an additional airing at 12:30 p.m.

Bulls Weekly Highlights
  • USF Athletics saw 224 of its nearly 450 student-athletes earn Athletics Honor Roll accolades following the 2019 spring term. USF Athletics posted a combined annual grade-point average over 3.0 for a record fourth straight year.
  • USF football announced future home series with Florida A&M (2021, 2023, 2027) and Bethune-Cookman (2020, 2026) after the Bulls unveiled their new adidas WVN A1 uniforms for 2019.
  • USF men's golf standout Albin Bergstrom was named a Division I PING All-America honorable mention following his record-breaking freshman season with the Bulls.

TAMPA, JUNE 24, 2019 – Take a look ahead at the week in USF Athletics and catch up on last week's news:

Football
Last Week: USF Vice President of Athletics Michael Kelly announced the addition of five home games to the Bulls' future football schedules as USF inked agreements for three visits from Florida A&M and a pair of visits from Bethune-Cookman to Raymond James Stadium. The Bulls will renew the series with FAMU starting on Sept. 18, 2021 and the Rattlers also will visit Tampa on Sept. 23, 2023 and Sept. 18, 2027. The Bulls will meet Bethune-Cookman for the first time ever on Sept. 12, 2020 and the Wildcats will return to Tampa on Sept. 26, 2026… When USF opens the 2019 season, the Bulls will be clad in their new adidas WVN A1 uniforms. Need to Know: USF Fan Fest is set for Saturday, Aug. 10 at 2 p.m. inside the Yuengling Center... USF will open its third season under head coach Charlie Strong with a primetime clash vs. Wisconsin on Friday, Aug. 30 at Raymond James Stadium (7 p.m. kickoff, TV: ESPN). Start times for five games have been released so far. New season tickets are available now for purchase. Away game tickets are available to all USF football season ticket members and Iron Bulls through the end of the priority deadline of Aug. 1. Away game tickets will be available to the public on Aug. 2, based on availability.

Athletics
This Week: USF Athletics is looking for event management interns on game days for all sports. Potential interns must be college students. Women's Basketball
This Week: Sophomore wing Luize Septe has earned a spot on Latvia's senior national team for the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2019 event. The tournament begins Thursday with action taking place in Latvia and Serbia. Septe has the honor of being the youngest player on Latvia's roster after starting 19 times for the Bulls last season.

Last Week: The American Athletic Conference announced home and away opponents for the 16-game women's basketball conference schedule for 2019-20. USF will play home and away games against defending conference champion UConn, War on I-4 rival UCF, Cincinnati, Temple and Tulane. The Bulls will host East Carolina, Houston and SMU once each, and will travel to Memphis, Tulsa and Wichita State once each. Game dates, tip times and TV information will be released at a later date. 

Need to Know: The season ticket member renewal period for the 2019-20 season is now open and new season ticket deposits are being accepted. By placing a $50 deposit per seat for season tickets, fans will be able to select their seats in advance. Season ticket deposits may be made at USFBullsTix.com or by calling 1-800-GO-BULLS… USF will take on six NCAA tournament teams, including three 2019 NCAA tournament No. 1 seeds, the reigning national champion and the national runner-up during the 2019-20 nonconference season.

Men's Basketball
Last Week: The American Athletic Conference announced home and away opponents for the 18-game men's basketball conference slate during the 2019-20 season. USF will play home and away games against War on I-4 rival UCF, UConn, East Carolina, Houston, Memphis, SMU and Wichita State. The Bulls will play Cincinnati and Tulsa only at the Yuengling Center and will only play Temple and Tulane on the road. Game dates, tip times and broadcast information will be announced at a later date.

Need to Know: The season ticket member renewal period for the 2019-20 season is now open. Season ticket deposits also are being accepted. Women's Soccer

Men's Golf

Need to Know: Bergstrom also was named to the Golfweek All-America Third Team after setting numerous single-season program records, including scoring average (70.0) and rounds of par or better (24).

Women's Golf
This Week: Incoming freshman Erika Smith will compete in the U.S. Girls' Junior Championship after placing fourth in a qualifying event Monday at Stuart (Fla.) Yacht & Country Club. The U.S. Girls' Junior Championship takes place July 22-27 at SentryWorld Golf Course in Stevens Point, Wisc. A standout for Lake Nona High School in Orlando, Smith will join the Bulls for the upcoming season after earning American Junior Golf Association Rolex All-America honors. About USF Athletics
USF Athletics sponsors 19 varsity men's and women's teams that compete in 11 different sports, 18 at the NCAA Division I level in the American Athletic Conference. The Bulls' athletic program began in 1965 and is in its 53rd season in 2018-19. Nearly 500 student-athletes train and compete in the athletic district located on the east end of the campus in Tampa, Fla. The Bulls have claimed 18 American Athletic Conference team titles since joining the conference in 2013, and own 119 conference titles overall. Nine USF programs reached national post-season competition in the 2017-18 season and six were ranked in the Top 25 nationally. The Bulls posted a combined annual grade-point average over 3.0 for the third straight year in 2017-18 and have posted a program record eight straight semesters with a combined GPA over 3.0. USF has had more than 250 student-athletes earn their degree in the last three years.
