USF Up Three Spots in United Soccer Coaches Rankings
TAMPA, Sept. 17, 2019 – South Florida women's soccer team was placed at No. 22 in the latest poll from United Soccer Coaches. This comes a day after the Bulls received their highest ranking in program history at No. 10 in the TopDrawerSoccer.com poll.
USF (5-1) is coming off a win against then-No.21 Wake Forest. A brace from
Evelyne Viens (Quebec, Canada) and a goal from
Katie Kitching (Bedale, England) propelled the Bulls to the 3-2 victory on Sunday, Sept. 15.
Viens was named American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for her efforts, which included an assist on Kitching's goal. Her five-point performance also earned her honorable mention recognition in TopDrawerSoccer.com's Team of the Week.
Monday, TopDrawerSoccer.com ranked the Bulls at No. 10 in its Division-I Poll. The ranking is the highest in program history. The previous record was a No. 11 position, also in TopDrawerSoccer.com's poll, in week 12 last season.
