TAMPA, Dec. 19, 2020 – Former University of South Florida goalkeeper Christiane Endler earned a spot on the FIFA FIFPro Women's World11 team announced during the FIFA The Best Awards Ceremony. Endler is a member of the Chilean National Team and Paris Saint-Germain. She played in three games in international play during 2020, helping lead Chile to two shutouts over Ghana and Kenya en route to winning the 2020 Turkish Women's Cup.
Endler helped Paris Saint-Germain finish second in a shortened 2019-20 Division 1 Féminine season in France, which qualified the squad for the 2020-21 UEFA Women's Champions League. She played in the first game of the championship, aiding PSG's defensive efforts and earning a clean sheet in a 2-0 win in the first leg against Górnik Leczna of Poland. The second leg was scheduled for Dec. 16.
In 2019, Endler finished second for The Best FIFA Women's Goalkeeper award behind the Netherlands' Sari van Veenendaal.
As a Bull, Endler started all 19 games in goal for USF as a freshman in 2012 and capped off her collegiate career with American Athletic All-Conference Second Team honors in 2013.
