Fisher Signs Mohandoss to 2021 Class

TAMPA, Dec. 23, 2020 – The University of South Florida men's tennis team added a highly-touted international signee for the 2021-2022 season, head coach Ashley Fisher announced on Tuesday. Sandeep Mohandoss will join the Bulls from Chennai, India.

"Sandeep is the sort of high character, team-focused young man we are looking for to help continue building our program," Fisher said. "He has a lot of weapons with an all-court game. We couldn't be more excited to welcome Sandeep to the family."

Mohandoss, while being a native to Chennai, attended IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. for the last 18 months for high school and training.

In competition, Mohandoss has attended major tennis championships and racked up quality wins. An Indian junior national champion, Mohandoss also represented India in the 2018 Junior Davis Cup. In 2019, Sandeep defeated Leighton Allen, a current University of Texas men's tennis student-athlete who was ranked the No. 12 recruit in the 2020 class, at the Eddie Hurr International Junior Championship.
