USF Host FGCU and Alabama This Weekend
TAMPA, Feb. 14, 2020 – The University of South Florida women's tennis team returns to the USF Varsity Tennis Courts this Saturday with a match against FGCU. The team then plays again on Sunday against Alabama.
The Bulls (2-3) have defeated FGCU the past two seasons and hold a 7-1 record against the Eagles all-time. Sunday marks the first time that USF meets the Crimson Tide on the tennis court. In its last match on Feb. 2, South Florida fell in a tough loss to North Florida at the Varsity Tennis Courts.
"I am really looking forward to watching our team compete again after taking a little time to regroup," head coach
Cristina Moros said. "The team has been working on specific things in practice the last two weeks, and I know they are looking forward to the battle. FGCU is always loaded with talent and they will compete very well up and down the line, so we need to be ready. Alabama has a strong line up and will prove to be a very tough opponent on Sunday."
