Bulls Get Ready To Face Off Against JMU

TAMPA, MARCH 11, 2020 – The University of South Florida women's tennis team remains at home to face James Madison University at the USF Varsity Tennis Courts on Thursday at noon. This will be the first meeting between the two schools.
 
South Florida improved to 5-6 on the season after an impressive win over Lehigh on Sunday, winning on all singles courts.
 
"Our team is constantly improving this season" stated Coach Cristina Moros. "And we are going to need that trend to continue in order to be ready for a tough JMU team tomorrow. Looking forward to the battle!"
 
Scouting the Opponent:
JMU
JMU is 9-4 on the season, coming off a 3-4 loss to Elon. The Dukes are under the leadership of head coach Sarah Hendrix and assistant coach Hannah Fleckenstein.
 
JMU is led by senior Jona Roka, who plays the No. 1 spot in singles with a 5-5 record on the season, along with sophomore Daria Afanasyeva at No. 2, holding an 8-3 record in singles. Afanasyeva and Roka are 8-3 in doubles at the No. 2 position for the Dukes. Recently, sophomores Natalia and Nikolopoulou and Daniela Voloh earned the CAA Women's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week after winning six straight doubles matches.
