Fisher Adds Two Commitments to 2020-21 Roster

TAMPA, JULY 1, 2020 – University of South Florida men's tennis added two highly touted student-athletes to its roster for this upcoming season, head coach Ashley Fisher announced on Wednesday.

The program welcomes Harrison and Greysen Cacciatore. The twin brothers from Gainesville, Fla., join the Bulls as transfers from the University of Florida.

Harrison Cacciatore | University of Florida | Buchholz HS | Gainesville, Fla.

Harrison was a five-star recruit from Buchholz High School in Gainesville, Fla., before arriving at the University of Florida.  During his recruiting period, he was ranked the No. 11 recruit out of the state of Florida, the No. 20 recruit in the Southeast and was ranked as highly as the No. 40 prospect in the nation.

During pre-collegiate play, Harrison was ranked as highly as No. 28 nationally in under-16 singles competition. Paired with his twin, Greysen, the Cacciatore brothers were ranked No. 4 in under-16 doubles play and No. 23 in under-18 doubles play. Harrison also was a three-time USTA Florida State doubles champion with his brother.

In his two years with the Gators, Harrison finished 6-3 in doubles play while also making the SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll in 2020.

"Harry has really impressed us during the recruiting process," Fisher said. "He has a vision for where he wants to go and we are excited to help build the road map to get him there. He has a growth mindset and we are eager to get started building a dynasty program with his help along with the rest of the boys."

Greysen Cacciatore | University of Florida | Buchholz HS | Gainesville, Fla.

Greysen, another former five-star recruit, finished his time at the University of Florida with a 10-10 record in singles play and an 8-4 record in doubles play.

He reached the third round of singles play at the USTA Boys National  Championship and was ranked as highly as No. 2 singles player in the state of Florida and No. 47 nationally. Paired with his brother, he reached a national  ranking of No. 10 in the country, winning three USTA Florida doubles championships.

With his brother Harrison, Greysen reached the round of 16 in doubles play at the 2017 Boy's Under-18 Championship and was a finalist at the 2016 National Doubles Championship.

"Grey is an incredible young man who I was drawn to immediately," Fisher said. "Very early on it was clear, we had great chemistry and we are so excited to continue to build a culture and program. We know where we want to get to and now it's about building the road map and sacrificing for the team, USF and the people of Tampa Bay."
