TAMPA, July 30, 2020 – The University of South Florida women's soccer program broke its record for most honorees on The American's All-Academic Team list released Thursday. Head coach Denise Schilte-Brown's squad had 26 student-athletes who earned a spot on the conference list.

Fourteen student-athletes earned the award for at least the second time, while Rebekah Anderson (Valrico, Fla.), Brianna Blethen (Bradenton, Fla.), Andrea Hauksdottir (Kopavogur, Iceland) and Evelyne Viens (L'anncienne-Lorette, Canada) all were recognized for the fourth time. Lexi Dubreuze (Pembroke Pines, Fla.), Ricquelle Farquharson (Davie, Fla.), Katie Kitching (Bedale, England), Aubrey Megrath (West Palm Beach, Fla.), Fanny Pelletier-Laroche (Quebec, Canada) and Sabrina Wagner (New Port Richey, Fla.) tallied their third selection to the list.

To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, student-athletes must have competed in an AAC sponsored sport, attained a minimum grade-point average of 3.00 for the preceding academic year and completed a minimum of two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters of academic work, with a total of 18 semester or 27 quarter credit hours.

The women's soccer program posted a record multi-year APR score (997) for the fourth straight year while also posting a perfect single-year score of 1,000.

The 237 Bulls honored across AAC-sponsored sports helped USF Athletics shatter its previous record since entering The American, which stood at 214 student-athletes honored in 2015-16. This marks the third straight academic year the Bulls have had more than 200 honorees and the fourth time USF has accomplished the feat since 2015-16.
