Former USF Standout Jordyn Listro Signs Contract with NWSL’s Orlando Pride

TAMPA, Sept. 10, 2020 – Former University of South Florida women's soccer midfielder Jordyn Listro signed a short-term contract to play for the National Women's Soccer League's Orlando Pride. The former Bulls standout from Canada will play for the Pride during the upcoming NWSL Fall Series.

"Jordy is an incredibly talented player. She has worked very hard to come from corporate America back into a professional environment," head coach Denise Schilte-Brown said. "Some people can say they benefited from good timing or an opportunity presented itself but for Jordyn, she created her path through hard work and determination. It takes an extraordinary person to come back to this level and have the impact that we are seeing her accomplish. We are very proud and excited for her opportunity."

Listro graduated from USF in 2017, following an exceptional career for the Bulls. The Toronto native set the program record for career games played with 82 during her four years. She tallied five assists in her time with USF and during her senior year she helped the Bulls keep a perfect record longer than any other team in the nation with eight straight wins.

Following her graduation, Listro signed with U.D.G. Tenerife, which plays in Spain's Primera Division. After a spending 2017 and 2018 with Tenerife, Listro transitioned away from professional soccer. However, she recently renewed her desire to play professionally, leading to the contract with Orlando Pride.
