Women’s Soccer Drops Conference Match to No. 15 SMU

TAMPA, Fla., Oct. 7, 2021 – The University of South Florida women's soccer team saw its unbeaten streak against conference opponents come to an end at 15 games as SMU
SMU took its lead early in the game. Vivianne Bessette attempted to clear the ball and it rebounded off SMU's Lindsey Whitmore and into the net in the fourth minute.
Emerging from halftime with the lead, the Mustangs added an insurance goal in the 63rd minute, Whitmore's second of the afternoon.
The Bulls challenged the SMU keeper all afternoon, as Tatum Sutherland had to make 10 saves against the USF attack. Ultimately, SMU would walk away with the 2-0 victory.
