Bulls Announce 2021 Regular Season Baseball Schedule

TAMPA (Feb. 1, 2021) – Thirty home games, 12 games against nationally-ranked competition and a four-game series format in league play highlight the 2021 USF baseball schedule as head coach Billy Mohl leads the Bulls in his fourth year at the helm.

Due to virus mitigation measures and the size of the venue, USF will have limited fan attendance via pass list only at USF Baseball Stadium.

All 30 home games will be broadcast live on ESPN+ in conjunction with the league's new 12-year television rights agreement with the streaming service. Subscriptions for the ESPN+ app are $5.99 monthly or $49.99 annually and can be packaged with Hulu and Disney+ streaming services. A step-by-step guide for subscribing to ESPN+ is located here.

USF opens the season Friday, Feb. 19 with a three-game series against Florida Gulf Coast that will feature games one and three at the USF Baseball Stadium and game two in Fort Myers. The Bulls continue with in-state foes when USF hosts Florida A&M for a four-game series slated for Feb. 26-28, which includes a Saturday doubleheader.

"We are very much looking forward to finally getting to compete after the 2020 season was cut short," Mohl said.

The Bulls begin the month of March with a three-game against Stetson, beginning with two in DeLand, Fla. before returning to Tampa for game three against the Hatters on Sunday, March 7. USF next faces its first ranked opponent of the season when the Bulls travel to Tallahassee, Fla., on March 9 for a matchup against No. 9 Florida State.

"This schedule is unique from years past, and it is also going to be an exciting and challenging one for our young nucleus of players," Mohl added. "Our schedule is very regionalized this year and we have added a road series against a top five team in the country in Texas Tech. As one of the top RPI conferences in the country, our league slate is always challenging and will be slightly different in the face that we will play four-game series instead of three."

Three more games against Florida Gulf Coast (March 12-14), a midweek meeting with Stetson (March 16), a three-game home series against Florida Atlantic (March 19-21) and a single game against North Florida (March 23) comprise the next eight games for USF.

USF next travels west to Lubbock, Texas, for a three-game series at third-ranked Texas Tech scheduled for March 26-28. The Bulls will put the finishing touches on the month of March by returning home for their fifth meeting of the season with Stetson (March 30).

The first round of the War on I-4 begins April 1-3 with a four-game matchup against No. 24 UCF at the USF Baseball Stadium to begin American Athletic Conference play. The Bulls also play home series against league foes Tulane (April 9-11), Cincinnati (April 30-May 2) and East Carolina (May 20-22).

USF will play conference road series at UCF (April 16-18), Houston (April 23-25), Memphis (May 7-9) and Wichita State (May 14-16).
