TAMPA, Fla., March 12, 2021 – The University of South Florida women's soccer team will look to keep its string of strong defensive efforts going as the Tulsa Golden Hurricane visit Corbett Stadium on Saturday. It is also the Bulls' Senior Night.
Due to virus mitigation measures and the size of the venue, fan attendance will be via team pass list only at Corbett Stadium. The match will be broadcast on ESPN+.
The Bulls are coming off a 1-0 road victory over the East Carolina Pirates last weekend.
Sydney Martinez (Rincon, Ga.) posted her fourth consecutive shutout in net, while
Meghan Cavanaugh (Clifton Park, N.Y.) scored the game-winning goal in the second half.
Three graduating seniors for the Bulls will be honored prior to the match.
Ashley Meade (Wall Township, N.J.),
Aideen O'Donoghue (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and
Fanny Pelletier-Laroche (Gatineau, Quebec, Canada) will all be recognized in the Senior Night ceremony.
Opponent
Tulsa (1-2, 1-2 AAC) is coming off of a 0-3 loss to Cincinnati last week. The team's lone win came against UCF, a 3-2 victory in Tulsa.
Offensively, Gabrielle Borboa leads the team with three points (1g, 1a). Liliana Fernandez and Emily Brandenburg also have goals for the Golden Hurricane. Emma Malsy has played every minute for Tulsa in net this year, holding a 2.33 GAA and a .708 save percentage.
