TAMPA, Fla., March 5, 2021 – The University of South Florida women's soccer team travels to Greenville, N.C. for a Sunday conference matchup against the East Carolina Pirates. Kickoff in the matinee is at 1 p.m.
The Bulls are coming off of a 0-0 draw against the Florida Gators in Gainesville, Fla. last Saturday.
Sydney Martinez tallied her third consecutive shutout in the draw. It marks the first time in program history the Bulls opened the season with three shutouts.
Opponent
ECU (1-2-1, 1-0-1 AAC) is coming off a 1-1 tie at Temple. The Pirates opened its conference schedule with a 1-0 OT win at Houston on Feb. 13.
Offensively, the Pirates are led by redshirt junior defender Morgan Dewey who paces the team with three points (1g, 1a). Madie Knaggs and Carsen Parker also have goals for ECU. At the helm, Jason Hamilton is in his third season with the team and has posted a 16-18-7 record at ECU. He has a 53-38-12 record in his six years as a head coach.
