TAMPA, APRIL 1, 2021 – The USF track and field hosts its second outdoor meet of the season when the Bulls welcome 16 teams to the USF Track and Field Stadium for the South Florida Invitational.
The meet will be broadcast live on ESPN+. Subscriptions for the

Due to virus mitigation measures and the size of the venue, fan attendance will be via team pass only. Ticket sales will not be open to the public.
Competition begins Friday at 12 p.m. with the men's hammer throw and concludes at 6:05 p.m. with the men's 4x400 meter relay Â
The meet continues Saturday at 11 a.m. with the women's hammer throw and wraps up at 6:20 p.m. with the women's 4x400 meter relay.
"We are excited about competing in our own venue and look forward to hosting several quality teams this weekend on campus," USF head coach
Erik Jenkins said. "The men will begin the weekend by competing on Friday and the women will conclude the two-day single gender format on Saturday. This format normally doesn't occur until the NCAA final round, but we believe it will create a unique competitive environment for our student-athletes and staff."
USF turned in a strong showing in its last meet at the FSU Relays, as the Bulls finished with five marks that finished among the top 10 in school history.
Graduate student
Stephanie Lambeth (Frankenmuth, Mich.) posted the third-highest pole vault mark in school history with a height of 13-3.50 en route to a third-place finish.
Freshman
Shaniya Benjamin (Tampa, Fla.) posted the fourth-longest long jump in school history with a distance of 20-0.25 on her way to a fourth-place finish.
Graduate student
Dee Jennings (Crosshill, S.C.) placed fifth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.24 seconds to record the sixth-fastest time in school history.
The quartet of
Gabrielle DesRosiers (Chicago, Ill.),
Benjamin,
Jasmine Knowles (Nassau, Bahamas) and
Patricija Roshofa (Limbazi, Latvia) won the 4x400 meter relay by posting a time of 3:38.32 to surpass the previous school record of 3:38.51 that has stood since 1998.
The women's 4x100 meter relay team also enjoyed success, as
Jadaja Baxter (Sandy Springs, Ga.), Benjamin, DesRosiers (Chicago, Ill.) and
Zahria Allers-Liburd (Miami, Fla.) finished in second place with a time of 45.12 seconds to tie for the third-fastest time in school history.
USF will honor four members of its 2020 senior class with a ceremony on Friday and Saturday at 3:30 p.m.

The USF track and field team has produced 22 All-America selections since 2008 and at least one All-American in nine of the last 11 years. 2016 graduate Matthew O'Neal is USF's first six-time NCAA All-American. USF has posted two NCAA runner-up finishes since 2013 - O'Neal (triple jump, 2016) and Courtney Anderson (high jump, 2013).
