TAMPA, Fla., April 16, 2021 – The No. 14/15 University of South Florida women's soccer team battles the Cincinnati Bearcats for the American Athletic Conference Tournament Championship tomorrow at Corbett Stadium. Kickoff in the game is at 2 p.m. and the match will be streamed on ESPN+.

The Bulls defeated East Carolina, 1-0, on Thursday to advance to the championship match. ECU scored an own goal to give the Bulls the lead in the first half and USF's defense held firm for the rest of the match to earn the team's sixth trip to the conference title match.

With the draw last weekend, USF leads the all-time series against Cincinnati, 12-11-5. The Bulls last win came in 2019, a 1-0 decision in Cincinnati last season. The Bearcats last win came in 2017, a 1-0 victory also in Ohio.

The winner earns the American Athletic Conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.

Cincinnati (5-4-1, 3-3-1 AAC) is coming off a win over No. 21 Memphis in the AAC Tournament Semifinals on Thursday. The Bulls and Bearcats played in the regular season finale, battling to a draw last weekend.

The USF women's soccer team has posted eight consecutive seasons of 10-plus wins and nine in the last 10 years under head coach Denise Schilte-Brown. The Bulls made their first NCAA tournament appearance in 2010 and returned in 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019. South Florida has won four consecutive conference championships, earning the tournament title in 2017 and 2019 as well as the regular season title in 2018 and in 2020.
