TAMPA (Aril 2, 2021) – The USF Bulls return to the links on Saturday, just five days removed from their last tournament, at the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational in Georgia. The Bulls are once again part of a loaded field in the 54-hole tournament which will take place over two days at Forest Hills Golf Course. Rounds one and two will tee off on Saturday with the final round being played on Sunday.
The 15-team field includes six squads in the Top 25 of the Golfstat national rankings, including No. 3 Oklahoma State, No. 5 Illinois, No. 6 Arizona State, No. 14 Arizona, No. 17 Pepperdine and No. 24 USF.
THE BULLS
USF has recorded a top-10 team finish in all five of its outings this spring, including last weekend at The Hayt. The Bulls' fifth-place finish at the Valspar Invitational was their highest to date on March 15-16, and the team posted its best score of the season at the Florida Gators Invitational (828), which netted USF an eighth-place mark in a loaded field.
Albin Bergstrom (Falsterbo, Sweden) led the Bulls for the third time this season at The Hayt last weekend, collecting his second top-10 finish with a score of 213. Bergstrom has a team-best scoring average of 70.13 and has carded 11 rounds of par or better this year.
Luke Gifford (Boca Raton) has been USF's leading scorer in the other two events this spring, and carries a scoring average of 71.73. Gifford has nine rounds of par or better this season and has recorded a pair of top-25 finishes.
Sam Nicholson (Atlantic Beach) is averaging a 72.07 through five tournaments. The freshman has eight rounds of par or better with season lows of 67 (round) and 207 (tournament).
Kyle Flexsenhar (Lake Mary) is averaging a 72.79 and has shot par or better in six of his 14 rounds. Runchanapong Youprayong (Bangkok, Thailand) is shooting a 73.60 and has shot a 71 or better in three of his last seven rounds.
Those five golfers will comprise USF's lineup at the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational this weekend.

USF will play its final event of the regular season on April 16-17, The Thunderbird Collegiate in Phoenix, Arizona, before turning its attention to the AAC Championship on April 23-25 in Brooksville.
