No. 29 Bulls Earn No. 3 Seed in AAC Tournament
MATCHUP: South Florida versus Tulsa

TAMPA, Fla., April 21, 2021 – The University of South Florida men's tennis team begins its trek in the American Athletic Conference Tournament with a duel against No. 39 Tulsa. USF earned the third seed for the AAC tournament, and will take on the sixth-seeded Tulsa team. UCF was awarded the first-round bye with the No. 1 seed and will meet the winner of No. 4 seed Memphis and No. 5 seed Wichita State. No. 2 seed Tulane battles No. 7 seed SMU and the victor will play either South Florida or Tulsa in the semifinals.
The Bulls finished out the regular season on a high note after wins over No. 32 Memphis, 4-2, and No. 39 Tulsa, 4-1. Success in singles from No. 37

Chase Ferguson (Melbourne, Australia),
Ivan Yatsuk (Minsk, Belarus), and Sergio Gomez-Montesa (Valencia, Spain) secured both matches.
USF is 17-1 in the AAC Championship, the lone loss coming from a 3-4 clash against Tulane in 2018. Due to the 2020 championships being cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bulls remain defending champions entering this year's tournament.
Scouting Tulsa
The No. 39 Golden Hurricanes finished the regular season with an 11-11 record after suffering three conference losses in their final road stretch.
USF defeated Tulsa in their last matchup, 4-1 and leads the all-time record against the Golden Hurricanes, 8-4. Tulsa's lineup includes one singles and doubles tandem in the national rankings; No. 82 Kody Pearson and No. 51 Connor Di Marco/Kody Pearson. No. 37 Wojcik defeated No. 82 Pearson, 6-1, 4-6, 6-3 and No. 62 Ferguson bested Di Marco, 6-3, 6-3 over the weekend.
