TAMPA, MAY 25, 2021 – Coming off three championship performances and the best team placings in years at the American Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, the USF Track and Field Team will send 22 individuals and three relay teams to the NCAA East Preliminaries in Jacksonville, Fla., May 26-29.
 
The four-day regional qualifier for the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, held in June at the University of Oregon, will run Wednesday through Saturday at the University of North Florida.
 
Both Bulls men's and women's 4X400 relay teams qualified for the field as did the women's 4X100 relay. The women's 4X400 team of Gabrielle DesRosiers, Shaniya Benjamin, Patricija Roshofa and Jae'Nisa Heckstall claimed the gold medal at the AAC Outdoor Championships. Jasmine Knowles and Zahria Allers-Liburd are also part of the unit that has posted several program top five times this season, including a top qualifying time and school-record mark of 3:34.88.
 
Allers-Liburd, Benjamin and DesRosiers will be joined by Kadesha Prescott, Jadaja Baxter and Shaneylix Davila on the women's 4X100 relay team with a top qualifying time of 44.20.
 
On the men's side, the 4X400 team of Duncan Agyemang, Monte Parker, Toluwani Adebakin, and Stefone Moore-Greene took second in the AAC Championships in a school-record time of 3:07.43. They will be joined by Dre'Shaun Sanders and Danelson Mahautiere at the East Prelims.
 
Women's individual qualifiers included Benjamin, a freshman from Tampa, who won the AAC long jump title with a school-record tying leap of 21-4. Heckstall, who won the AAC 400-meter hurdle title in a school-record time of 56.94 will compete in that event at the NCAA Prelims. Davila will compete in the 100-meter hurdles after posting a school-record mark of 13.17 to finish second in the AAC Championships. DesRosiers will compete in the 400-meters (54.03), Stephanie Lambeth in the pole vault (13-3.50) and Arielle Boone in the triple jump (41-8).
 
For the men, pole vaulters Kobe Babin (16-11.5) and Stone Baker (16-7.5) both qualified to compete. David Ajama qualified in the triple jump (51-8.25), Dee Jennings in the 110-meter hurdles (13.99), Akeem Bradshaw in the long jump (24-4.25) and Duncan Agyemang in the 400-meter hurdles (51.01).
