TAMPA, Fla., Aug. 27, 2021 – The University of South Florida women's soccer team continues its season-opening homestand with a matinee matchup against the Kentucky Wildcats on Sunday at 1 p.m.
 
The Bulls are coming off a last-minute, 2-1 loss to LSU (RV), with the Tigers scoring with 27 seconds left to clinch the victory. Sydny Nasello (Land O' Lakes, Fla.) scored her second penalty-kick goal in as many games in the loss. 
 
Bark With The Bulls
Sunday is the women's soccer team's "Bark with the Bulls" game. Fans are encouraged to bring their dogs as they cheer on South Florida against the Wildcats.
 
Scouting the Kentucky Wildcats
Kentucky is an undefeated 2-0-1 so far this season, including wins over Marshall (3-0) and Louisiana-Lafayette (5-0) with a draw over Purdue (1-1).
 
Jordyn Rhodes has paced Wildcat scorers this season, tallying nine points via four goals and one assist. Behind her, Hannah Richardson has six points from three goals. In net, Laura Nielsen has played all but nine minutes so far, posting a 0.32 GAA and a 0.929 save percentage.

USF leads the all-time series, 1-0. In the lone meeting, USF emerged with a 2-1 victory on Aug. 25, 2016 in Kentucky.
