TAMPA, Fla., Sept. 11, 2021 – The University of South Florida women's soccer team begins its 2021 road schedule with an in-state duel against the Miami Hurricanes. Kickoff is at 2 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on linear television via ACC Network.
The Bulls are looking to rebound after a 2-0 loss to now No. 19 Tennessee.
Scouting the Miami Hurricanes
Miami has a 3-2 record to this point in the season, with wins over FIU, Florida and Florida Atlantic.
The Hurricanes have had five different players each score one goal, with eight different players registering points in the season. Melissa Dagenais has played nearly all of Miami's minutes in net thus far, posting a 0.60 GAA and a 0.833 save percentage.

The series is tied at 4-4. USF's last win came in 2012, a 1-0 win at Corbett Stadium. Miami's last victory came in 2006, a 1-0 victory in Coral Gables.

The USF women's soccer team has posted eight consecutive seasons of 10-plus wins and nine in the last 10 years under head coach Denise Schilte-Brown. The Bulls made their first NCAA tournament appearance in 2010 and returned in 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. South Florida has won four consecutive conference championships, earning the tournament title in 2017, 2019 and 2020 as well as the regular-season title in 2018 and 2020. The program had its first draft pick and second-highest pick in USF Athletics history with Evelyne Viens being taken with the fifth overall pick in the 2020 NWSL Draft by Sky Blue FC, now Gotham FC.
