South Florida Falls to Cincinnati

CINCINNATI, Ohio, Oct. 23, 2022 The University of South Florida women's soccer team fell to the Cincinnati Bearcats, 1-0, on Sunday afternoon.

Cincinnati took the early lead, scoring the first goal 17 second into the third minute. Brandi Thomsen gave the Bearcats another chance 10 minutes later, charging down the field taking Vivianne Bessette (Montreal, Quebec, Canada) on one-on-one. Her shot was saved by Sydney Martinez (Rincon, Ga.).

South Florida's offense came to life midway through the first half. Bessette gave the Bulls a chance at tying the match with a shot, but the Bearcats goalkeeper stopped the ball. Signe Markvardsen (Roskilde, Denmark) took a shot that barley went to the right of the goal.

The Bulls were held to three shots in the second half for a total of seven in the match.
