South Florida Welcomes No. 12 Texas A&M on Saturday

TAMPA (Feb. 11, 2022) – The University of South Florida men's tennis team continues their home schedule with a matchup against No. 12 ranked Texas A&M Saturday at the USF Varsity Tennis Courts. First serve is slated for 1:30 p.m.
 
The Bulls (2-3) are aiming to pull the upset after splitting a tight doubleheader last Saturday against Florida Atlantic (L, 4-3) and North Florida (W, 4-1).
 
Saturday marks the second meeting of the season against a top 15 opponent for South Florida. The Bulls faced No. 7 Georgia on Jan. 31 on day two of the ITA Weekend Kickoff in Athens, Ga. falling to the Bulldogs, 4-1.
 
The Bulls are looking to claim their first win against Texas A&M after a pair of 4-3 losses on Feb. 24, 2017, in Tampa and Feb. 7, 2016, in College Station.
 
Scouting Texas A&M
The Aggies enter their match against South Florida with an impressive 4-0 mark. They are coming off a commanding 7-0 win against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Jan. 30, which followed back-to-back wins over No. 23 UCLA (4-0) and No. 12 Arizona (4-1) the weekend prior at the ITA Kickoff Weekend. Through their first four contests, they dropped a total of five matches between singles and doubles play.
