TAMPA (Feb. 27, 2022) – The University of South Florida women's tennis team won its second-straight match, dominating No. 74 Florida Gulf Coast, 4-1, Sunday afternoon at the USF Varsity Tennis Courts.

The Bulls improve to 3-7 on the year, while FGCU falls to 5-4.

South Florida brought home the doubles point in commanding fashion, with wins on court two by
Grace Schumacher and
Margriet Timmermans, 6-2, and on court three from
Laura Pellicer and
Selin Yaylali, 6-4.

There was no looking back by the Bulls when the singles portion of the match started.
Amelie Boy put South Florida up, 2-1 with a swift 6-2, 6-0 win at the No. 5 position, which was followed by the Eagles' only win of the day on court six.

The Bulls clinched the match with back-to-back wins on court one by
Sierra Berry (6-4, 6-4) and court three by
Laura Pellicer, in the lone three-set match of the afternoon, 3-6, 6-4, 6-2.
