FORT WORTH, Texas (March 19, 2022) – The University of South Florida men's tennis team kicked off its two-match trip to the Lone Star State with a meeting against No. 2-ranked TCU at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center in Fort Worth, falling to the Horned Frogs, 6-1, snapping its three-match winning streak.  
 
The Bulls, who are ranked No. 65 in the nation in the most recent ITA rankings fall to 8-7 on the year while TCU improves to 15-2.
 
The Bulls battled in the doubles portion of the dual before falling to Horned Frogs.
 
At No. 2, Chase Ferguson and Ivan Yatsuk dropped its match, 4-6, however, the No. 1 tandem of Rithvik Bollipalli and Bruno Oliveira took TCU's pair, the sixth-ranked duo in the nation, to the brink but found themselves on the short end of a hard-fought battle, 5-7, as the Horned Frogs took the doubles point.
 
Sergio Gomez Montesa and Alvin Tudorica were up 6-5 in their match at No. 3 when TCU closed out the point.
 
In singles, the Horned Frogs jumped on the Bulls early, winning three-straight on court four (2-6, 0-6), court one (2-6, 1-6) and court six (2-6, 1-6) to secure the win, their third-straight and 13^th in their last 14 matches.
 
Alvin Tudorica registered South Florida's only win of the afternoon with a 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-3) win at No. 5.
 
Chase Ferguson also went to three sets against his No. 14-ranked opponent, falling 6-3, 3-6, 0-1 (5-10).

South Florida will close out its weekend with the second of two-straight road matches at No. 42 SMU on Sunday at 2 p.m.
