TAMPA (March 31, 2022) – The University of South Florida men's tennis team begins their season-ending four-match road stretch with a matchup against No. 58 Tulane at the City Park Tennis Center in New Orleans on Friday.
 
The Bulls are aiming to continue their momentum following their 4-2 win over No. 50 Cornell on March 27.
 
In singles, Alvin Tudorica, the reigning American Athletic Conference Player of the Week, has put together nothing short of a dominant sophomore campaign. Tudorica is 12-2 on the year and is riding an 11-match win streak. He is a perfect 9-0 on court five and 2-0 on court four.
 
Antonio Muniz has nine wins on the season (9-8) and is 7-6 on court three.
 
On the doubles side, the Bulls' No. 1 team of Bruno Oliveira and Rithvik Bollipalli – ranked No. 9 in the nation in the last ITA national rankings – continues to be one of the best teams in the country. The duo is 9-4 on the season and has played a key role in every victory this season.
 
Tudorica and Sergio Gomez Montesa have recorded 10 doubles wins on the year (10-5) with them all coming on court three.
 
Scouting Tulane
The Green Wave (7-10) enters their match against the Bulls with a 7-10 record following a 7-0 loss to No. 1-ranked TCU on March 27. Tulane has dropped three of its last four matches.
 
In singles play, Fynn Kuenkler is 8-4 on the year, going 2-0 on court two and 2-2 on courts one and three. Luka Petrovic leads the Green Wave with nine wins (9-8) on the year and is 4-1 on court three, 3-1 on court five and 2-1 on court four.
 
In doubles play, the No. 3 doubles pairing of Rafael de Alba and Billy Suarez has been dominant. The duo remains undefeated on the year with a 6-0 record. Kuenkler and Luc Hoeijmans lead the team with eight doubles wins (8-7) with all eight coming on court three (8-6).
