South Florida Faces First Road Test Against Hofstra

TAMPA, Fla. (November 29, 2023) – The University of South Florida men's basketball team takes to the road for the first time on Thursday, November 30, for a matchup against Hofstra. The Bulls and the Pride are scheduled for a 7 p.m. tip on FloHoops from Hempstead, New York.
 
Bulls at a Glance
Chris Youngblood paces USF with 16.0 points per game. He is averaging 1.8 rebounds per game to go along with seven assists, four steals, and one block. With a free-throw percentage of 90.3, he is 73rd in the NCAA and second in the AAC. Selton Miguel is averaging 12.5 points per contest and is second on the team with 4.8 boards per game. He has a team-best seven steals. He has added four assists. Jayden Reid leads the team with 19 assists. He is tied for 79th in the NCAA with 4.8 assists per game and is fourth in the AAC. He has an assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.80, which is 35th in the country and third in the conference. He is second on the squad with five steals and is averaging 2.8 rebounds per game. He is averaging 6.5 points per contest. Kasean Pryor leads the team with 5.9 rebounds per contest. He is averaging 5.8 points per game with six assists, four steals, and one block. Last Time Out
South Florida dropped a tough one against Maine. Chris Youngblood led the team with 17 points. He has led the team in scoring in three of the four contests this season. Kasean Pryor recorded his first collegiate double-double behind a season-high 12 points and a career-high 12 rebounds. He also led the team with three steals and added two assists. Jayden Reid led the squad with five assists to go along with his seven points. Kobe Knox finished the game second on the team with nine rebounds and added seven points.
 
History with Hofstra
South Florida and Hofstra will meet for the fourth time on Thursday. The Bulls lead the overall series 3-0, including a 77-70 victory last season in Tampa. This will be the first meeting between the two sides in Hempstead, New York.
 
Scouting the Pride

The South Florida men's basketball team is led by Amir Abdur-Rahim, who was named the 11th head coach in program history on March 29, 2023.
