West Palm, Fla. Dec. 21, 2023 – South Florida women's basketball (8-5) fell, 73-50, in a hard-fought battle to No. 10/13 Baylor (11-0) on Thursday afternoon in the West Palm Beach Classic on the Campus of Keiser University.

Vittoria Blasigh led the Bulls with a 16-point performance.
Romi Levy followed with 13 points and
Carla Brito added a double-double performance of 11 points and 11 rebounds.

HOW THE GAME WAS DECIDED
Midway through the third stanza the Bulls Battled back and used an 11-0 scoring run to slice the Bears lead to 10 points. Levy and
Daniela Gonzalez each had four points in the stretch. With 1:33 to play in the third quarter USF trailed Baylor, 44-34.

The two powers traded blows for the first eight minutes of the final stanza, and the Bears constructed a 12-3 spurt to secure the Bull's loss over the final two minutes of action. Brito scored a 3-pointer for South Florida to stop Baylor's effort with three seconds to play.

- Brito's double-double was her second of the season and fourth of her career.
