No. 58 South Florida to face No. 56 Tulsa in Final Match of the Regular Season

TAMPA, Fla. (April 13, 2023) – The No. 58-ranked University of South Florida men's tennis team will go against the No. 56-ranked Tulsa Gold Hurricane on Friday, April 14 on the USTA National Campus in Orlando. The first serve is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.

After dropping their last match against Central Florida, 4-3, on April 7, the Bulls hope to close out the regular season with a win against Tulsa. The record between the two squads sits at 10-4, with South Florida holding the advantage.

Doubles partners Erik Grevelius and Alvin Tudorica were ranked 84th by ITA for the week ending April 11. The duo has logged an 8-3 record.

Tulsa enters Friday's match with a 10-11 record. The Golden Hurricane earned a pair of wins in their April 8th doubleheader against No. 38-ranked Oklahoma State (4-1) and Creighton (6-1). Kody Pearson sits at No. 51 in the ITA singles rankings. Together he and his partner Connor Di Marco are ranked No. 89 in doubles.

Junior Volodymyr Zakharov was named the AAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week. Zakharov's win in singles clinched the match against OSU.
