ORLANDO, Fla. (April 14, 2023) – The No. 58-ranked South Florida Bulls dropped their final match of the regular season against No. 56-ranked Tulsa in Orlando, Fla. Friday afternoon, 4-3, at the USTA National Campus.

South Florida's Alvin Tudorica and Erik Grevelius, who are ranked No. 84 in doubles, topped the No.89-ranked duo of Kody Pearson and Connor Di Marco, 6-3.

However, Thomas Pavlekovich-Smith and Samuel Frizelle were unable to tip the point in the Bulls' favor. The pair dropped their match on court two, giving the Golden Hurricanes a 1-0 advantage entering singles play.

Tulsa continued to put up points on the board. Court six finished first, with Timothy Segar defeating Pavlekovich-Smith, 6-2.

Tudorica played position three for the second time this season. Unlike his first go around against Central Florida on April 7, he would win his match in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3. This gave the Bulls their first point of the afternoon.

Elijah Cham dropped court five, 6-4 in both sets. With three courts still in play, South Florida trailed 3-1 in the dual.

Both Davide Tortora and Bruno Oliveira on courts one and four, respectively, played for three sets on their courts. Despite the seemingly endless battle, both would secure a victory and tie the contest, 3-3.

Everything came down to Grevelius on court two. After outlasting his opponent in the first set, 7-6 (11-9), he was unable to keep pace for the remainder of the match. He dropped his remaining two against Stefan Hampe, 5-7, 2-6,resulting in Tulsa clinching the match.
