Tampa, Fla. Jan. 3, 2024 – South Florida women's basketball (9-6, 1-1) fell, 66-61, to Charlotte (9-5, 2-0) on Wednesday evening at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Fla.

Romi Levy led the charge for the Bulls with a career-best 24-point output, which marked her sixth double-figure game of the year and the second 20-plus point game of her career. Levy also dished out a team-leading six assists.
Vittoria Blasigh added 20 points while connecting on four 3-pointers. Blasigh has scored in double-digits 10 times this season and has had a trio of 20-plus point games this campaign.
Evelien Lutje Schipholt grabbed 10 boards while
Aerial Wilson matched a career-high nine rebounds while dishing out five assists.

HOW THE GAME WAS DECIDED
At the end of regulation in a game that was tied six times with 16 lead changes. Levy sunk a pair of free throws to send the game into overtime. Charlotte managed to outsmart the Bulls on an 11-6 run in the overtime period. Dazia Lawrence had six key points for the visitors with a jumper and four makes at the line, which would seal the defeat for the Bulls.
