TAMPA (February 23, 2024) – The University of South Florida women's tennis team returns to Tampa following a two-match swing through Lousisana last weekend. The Bulls will be home for their next eight matches which will exhaust their home schedule for the spring season.
South Florida (4-5) opens things up against No. 11 Auburn (5-5) on Sunday, February 25 at 12 p.m.
The homestand will also feature visits from No. 70 Michigan State (Feb. 28), Miami Ohio (March 1), Penn (March 3), VCU (March 10), ETSU (March 12), Cleveland State (March 13) and Yale on Senior Day (March 16).
The Bulls have been highly competitive in singles action to date which has led to multiple thrilling finishes.
Three-time All-AAC player Grace Schumacher has held down Singles No. 1 this season and owns a 4-4 record. Gargi Pawar is 6-1 overall while Melisa Senli is 5-1 in singles – both are newcomers to the team in 2023-24.
South Florida is 4-1 on its home courts this season with its lone loss coming in 4-3 fashion on the final court to FAU on February 9.

Head coach Cristina Moros, a former collegiate national champion and four-time All-American, is in her ninth year at the helm entering the 2023-24 season. She was named the 2017 AAC Coach of the Year after leading the Bulls to the conference championship that season.
