March 06, 2024

TAMPA (March 6, 2024) – The USF women's sailing team will travel to the Jen Harris Women's Team Race Regatta hosted by the Naval Academy this weekend March 9-10, in Annapolis.

This weekend calls for another challenging regatta for the USF women's sailing team. The regatta features 4 top-ranked Ivy League teams, U Penn, Brown, Cornell, and Yale, as well as SEISA conference champion Tulane University, mid-Atlantic conference contenders Old Dominion, Hobart-William Smith, and George Washington, SAISA conference champion College of Charleston, and perennial top competitor Boston College.

The weather forecast looks equally challenging, with rain, gusty winds, and temperatures in the low 40's.

Traveling to the competition are Seniors Emma Shakespeare and Hannah Marsicano, Juniors Kay Brunsvold, Kalea Woodard, Heidi Hicks and Janie Powell, and Freshman Kailey Warrior.

The Bulls have spent this week focusing on weaknesses identified last weekend and are looking forward to an improved performance.
