
South Florida Falls At No. 9 Charlotte, 4-1

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 27, 2024 – South Florida men's soccer (3-2-4) fell on the road, 4-1, to No. 9 Charlotte (6-0-2) at Transamerica Field in Charlotte, N.C. on Friday.
The 49ers got on the board first, as seven minutes into the contest Natsuki found the back of the net off of the foot of Daniel Moore. Then in the 33rd minute, Charlotte's Elias Arsvoll scored off the feet of Moore and Ryan Dunn.
One minute after returning from the break Gunnar Studenhofft put USF on the board on a penalty kick, as the ball sailed right up the middle off of his right foot.
Later on in the second stanza, Charlotte ensured its lead and eventual victory with goals from Chris Dommer and Jaedon Richardson to close the match.
NOTABLE NUMBERS
South Florida returns home to continue conference play against Temple on Saturday, Oct. 5. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. and the match will stream live on ESPN+.

Notable alumni include two-time MLS Golden Boot winner Jeff Cunningham, USA 1994 World Cup star Roy Wegerle, and 2013 MLS Cup winner Dom Dwyer. Men's Soccer has two Alumni and a coach in the USF Athletics Hall of Fame: Fergus Hopper and Jeff Attinella, & Dan Holcomb. Cunningham has also been selected to join the USF Athletics Hall of Fame this Fall.
The Bulls have reached the NCAA Tournament 13 times over the past 22 seasons.
