USF Track and Field Announces 2024 Signing Class

USF Track and Field Welcomes 24 New Athletes

University of South Florida Director of Cross Country and Track & Field Erik Jenkins has announced the Bulls' 2024 signing class consisting of 24 student-athletes. The class features multiple Division 1 individual award winners, conference champions, and event winners. Among the new additions, 13 are native Floridians, six from outside the state, and five from other countries.
 
"I am looking forward to working with this group of accomplished newcomers," Jenkins said. "There is an abundance of quality experience represented from all levels of the sport. The staff has done a good job of identifying talented individuals who can enhance the program and move us forward in the future."
 
Men
Javell Brown
Brown is from Auburndale, Florida. The jumper comes to USF with his brother, Javon from Western Carolina University. His top marks are HJ (2.05m) 6'8.75", LJ (7.32m) 24'0.25", and TJ (15.46m) 50' - 8.75".
 
Javon Brown
Brown is from Auburndale, Florida. The jumper comes to South Florida after spending two seasons with Western Carolina University. Brown's top marks are LJ (7.32m) 24' - 0.25", TJ (15.36m) 50' - 4.75".
 
Isaac Chandra
Chandra is a 2024 Kenner HS graduate from Peterborough, Ontario. The sprinter has top marks of 100m (10.35) and 200m (21.05).
 
Jayven Garcia
Garcia is from Kissimmee, Florida. The distance runner comes to USF from Daytona State College. His top mark is in the 5000m (15:13).
 
John Keester IV
Keester IV is from Jacksonville, Florida, and is a 2024 Fleming Island HS graduate. The distance runner has top marks in the 1600m (4:21.36) and 3200m (9:14.61).
 
Clayton Knight
Knight is from Ocala, Florida, and graduated from Ocala Vanguard HS in 2024. The distance runner has top marks in the 3200m (9:10) and the 5K XC (15:30).
 
Andrew Marello
Marello is from Jacksonville, Florida, and graduated from Wolfson HS in 2024. The distance runner has top marks in the 1600m (4:17).
 
Aiden Maue
Maue is from Souderton, Pennsylvania, and graduated Souderton Area HS in 2024. His top marks are in the 800m (1:55), 1600m (4:14) and the 3200m (9:09).
 
Jason Nwosu
Nwosu is from Franklinville, New Jersey, and is a transfer from William and Mary. His top marks are in SP (17.67m), 57' - 11.75", HT (55.45m) 181' - 11", and DT (49.80m) 163' - 5".
 
Nikodem Pochopien
Pochopien is from Kielce, Poland, and graduated from St. Stanislaus Kostka HS in 2024.
His top mark is in the PV (5.11m) 16' - 9.25".
 
Terrell Robinson Jr
Robinson Jr. is from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and is a transfer from St. Augustine's University. His top marks are in the 60m (6.61), 100m (10.28) and the 200m (21.21) 
 
Nicholas Zamora-Lopez
Zamora-Lopez is from Largo, Florida, and graduated Indian Rocks Christian HS in 2024. His top mark is in the 800m (1:54.66).

Rushana Dwyer
Dwyer is from St. Elizabeth, Jamaica and is a transfer from South Plains CC. Her top marks are in the 400m (53.68) and the 800m (2:08.27) 
 
Tristen Evatt
Evatt is from Yulee, Florida and graduated Yulee HS in 2024. Her top marks are in the LJ (6.08m) 19' - 11.50" and the 100m (12.2).
 
Ella Galloway
Galloway is from Middletown, New York, and graduated Pine Bush HS in 2024. Her top mark is in the PV (3.99m) 13' – 0.0".
 
Malysia Johnson
Johnson is from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and is a transfer from St. Augustine's University. Her top marks are in the 100m (11.63), 200m (23.68) and 400m (54.66). 
 
Corrine Mac
Mac is from North Liberty, Iowa, and graduated from Liberty HS in 2024. Her top marks are in the 1500m (4:41) and the 3000m (10:15).
 
Giovana Meade
Meade is Oviedo, Florida, and is a transfer from Daytona State College. Her top marks are in the 800m (2:13) and 1500m (4:42).
 
Doris Quainoo
Quainoo is from Accra, Ghana and is a transfer from Cumberland University. Her top marks are in the 100m (11.81), 100mh (13.54) and the 400mh (1:00.31).
 
Nia Richards
Richards is from Nassau, Bahamas and is a transfer from Queens College. Her top marks are in the 200m (24.09) and the 100mh (14.06)
 
Ja'mya Roberson
Roberson is from Tampa, Florida and graduated from Hillsborough HS in 2024. Her top mark is in the 100m (11.95).
 
Adalin Robinson
Robinson is from Riverdale, Maryland and is a transfer from Indian Hills CC. Her top marks are in the 200m (23.63) and the 400m (53.42)
 
Tyra Thomas
Thomas is from Winter Haven, Florida and is a transfer from Marshall University. Her top marks are in the 60mh (8.33) and the 100mh (13.39).
 
Skyler Watts
Watts is from Jacksonville, Florida and graduated Episcopal School in 2024. Her top marks are in the 100m (11.77), 200m (24.22) and the 400m (54.91).

The USF track and field men's team won the 2024 Indoor and Outdoor AAC Championship. Romaine Beckford won the 2023 NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships in the men's high jump as a Bull. The team has earned 56 All-America selections and at least one All-American in 10 of the last 12 years, including a record eight athletes claiming 11 honors in 2021. Tampa native Shaniya Benjamin set a program record earning three All-American honors during the 2021 outdoor season, while triple jumper Matthew O'Neal, a 2016 graduate, became USF's first six-time NCAA All-American. Bulls have posted two NCAA runner-up finishes since 2013 - O'Neal (triple jump, 2016) and Courtney Anderson (high jump, 2013). Head coach Erik Jenkins took over the program in 2020 and in the 2021 outdoor season the Bulls posted seven program records and 40 top 10 all-time program marks. USF hosted the 2018 NCAA Track and Field East Preliminary and the 2021 AAC Outdoor Championship at the USF Track and Field Stadium located on the east end of campus.
