IRVING, Texas (January 20, 2025) – The American Athletic Conference announced its weekly honors for men's basketball Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week on Monday. After a phenomenal week on the court,
CJ Brown was named the Freshman of the Week.
Brown put together a career statline against Tulsa. He became the only USF player this century to record 15 or more points, four or more steals, and zero turnovers in a single game. Only four other AAC players have matched that statline this season. He is the first USF player to achieve that statline since B.B. Waldon did it on December 21, 1999, against The Citadel. Brown averaged 12.5 points per game and 3.5 rebounds per game for the week. He led the team with seven steals and added four assists.
