Match Recap: Women's Tennis |

Bulls Fall To Texas State, 4-3

TAMPA, FLA. (January 31st, 2025) - South Florida women's tennis team (0-4) fell, 4-3, to Texas State (2-2) at the USF Varsity Tennis Courts on Friday afternoon. 

In doubles action, the duo of Melisa Senli/Dharani Niroshan earned a convincing 6-2 victory on Court Two to force a winner-take-all match on Court One. The pair of Sienna Leeson/Margherita Marcon battled to take the final court, 7-5, to give the Bulls an early 1-0 lead.

The Bobcats captured the first singles victory as Emily Niers defeated Dharani Niroshan (6-4, 7-5). USF responded with Charlotte Ruud picking up her first collegiate solo win over Callie Creath (6-0, 4-6, 6-3). The Bobcats then collected three-straight singles wins to close out the match on Courts Two, Six, and Three.

UP NEXT
The Bulls welcome in-state foe, Florida A&M, on Sunday, February 2nd. Start time is slated for Noon and the match will be live streamed on YouTube.
