TAMPA, Fla., October 15, 2025 – The University of South Florida Women's Tennis team is to compete in the ITA Southeast Regional Championships, starting on October 16. The event is hosted by the University of Central Florida, in Orlando.
Starting off the tournament is the singles qualifying, where each player will have to win two matches to advance to the main draw. Competing for a spot in the main draw for the Bulls are Francesca Miglio, Margherita Marcon, Loana Vargas, and Amelie Drukerova.
On Friday, October 17, the singles main draw shall begin. Melisa Senli, Charlotte Ruud, Sienna Leeson and Josefine Falster will be representing the Bulls, alongside any qualifying singles players.
The doubles main draw will also start on Friday, October 17. The sophomore duo from Norway, Charlotte Ruud and Josefine Falster will be competing together. As will Marcon and Leeson, Senli and Georgia State transfer Miglio, and Drukerova and Vargas.
Last week, at the Bedford Cup, freshman Drukerova advanced to finals, and Marcon/Falster won a doubles match against the University of Miami. With momentum behind them, the Bulls are looking to continue their strong fall season and showcase their depth at the Southeast Regional Championship.
